As a half-sized version of MQ Field House with identical multisport capabilities, MQ Sportsplex supports the volume of groups seeking occupancy MQ Field House and the eventual scope of their planned facility usage.
MQ Sportsplex will feature interchangeable hard wood, artificial turf and specialty flooring systems providing four basketball courts, eight volleyball courts, 16 pickleball courts, two indoor soccer fields and eight competition mats.
Basketball
MQ Sportsplex will manage a youth-oriented, non-traveling house league for cost-friendly, competitive and supportive family recreational programming. Also offered will be a men’s and women’s house basketball league featuring multiple games per week during work-friendly hours. As an alternative to house league play, MQ Sportsplex will provide multiple weekly sessions of drop-in youth- or adult-only pick-up basketball during convenient times.
Volleyball
In conjunction with Zona Volleyball, MQ Sportsplex will offer adult house league volleyball during weekday evenings and weekend mornings. Looking to get back into the game, or just starting your volleyball experience? As an adjunct programming option, Zona Volleyball will offer adult-oriented skills and training sessions for newcomers and formerly experienced players returning to the game.
Soccer
With its available turf surface, MQ Sportsplex will offer 3-on-3 youth and adult soccer leagues, blending individual skills with teamwork in a much faster paced game than traditional soccer. As an alternative, 5-on-5 youth and adult soccer leagues will also be available, which allow for larger teams while still providing skill-developing experience.
Badminton
MQ Sportsplex is partnering with Tucson Badminton Club to provide league, team, individual and tournament programming. With multiple morning and evening sessions per week, children and adults alike will find a convenient time to enjoy their introduction to, or continued development of, badminton play.
Judo
MQ Sportsplex is partnering with Higher Ground and its Tucson Dojo judo program to expand its programming to the public. Tucson Dojo programs will occupy MQ Sportsplex multiple afternoons and evenings throughout the week. As the program grows, Tucson Dojo plans to add to its MQ Sportsplex schedule to accept as many students as possible.
Pickleball
Bringing the social aspects of bowling leagues to team play in pickleball, MQ Sportsplex will offer multiple pickleball leagues throughout the year, with each league season culminating with a Mosaic Quarter championship bracket. In addition, MQ Sportsplex will host an array of round robin pickleball events throughout the year from eight- to 32-player formats. As part of its series of round robin events, MQ Sportsplex will also offer glow-in-the-dark pickleball.
Tournaments
With such diverse programming, MQ Sportsplex hosts a variety of tournaments to participate in or attend year-round. Beginning in its opening year, MQ Sportsplex will host 15 annual youth basketball tournaments and 15 volleyball tournaments with five boy and 10 girl events.
